Crime
Contemporary Crime crosses genre lines, surprising as it satisfies. Crime, and especially True Crime, has been discovered by a completely new generation via streaming, podcasts and YouTube. There is also a continuously replenishing gold mine of Crime IP, from novels to news articles. And there is no genre that sells better around the world.
The Long Fall
From legendary writer Walter Mosley ("Devil In a Blue Dress", "Last Days of Ptolemy Grey", "Snowfall"). Leonid McGill is a private detective with a chip on his shoulder and a lot of resources not apparent to a casual viewer. He used to be a bad guy. Now he's a better guy, who is working to make the world a better place. He's 5'5", a former light-heavyweight boxing contender with an ex-wife and a bunch of kids, only some of whom are his by birth. Wendell Pierce ("Jack Ryan", "Suits") is attached to star.

The Pursuit
Loosely based on the true story of Murph the Surf, the infamous surfer and jewel thief who practiced both trades in LA in the 1960s. A charming, charismatic surf-instructor-turned-cat-burglar, he was ultimately responsible for one of the largest jewel heists in Los Angeles history, stealing gems worth millions of dollars from the Museum of Natural History. Written by Patrick Coleman ("The Churchgoer").

Restoration
In 1991, over $500 Million worth of art was stolen from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Remarkably, inexplicably, a call to the local police department directed the search to a car parked at the Amsterdam Rail Station - where all 20 canvasses were recovered. The true story of how that crime went wrong - and went right - is one of the great untold heist stories of all time.
